Fancy dress "wedding", Rose Yard, St Augustine's, Norwich

This delightful image is thought to have been taken in the 1920s. It shows the principal actors in a pantomime wedding, with the children dressed as the bride and groom, bridesmaid, page boy and guests, including a soldier, an old lady, a clown and a jockey!
Some of the children seem to be holding a stick with a square of white card, which presumably had a message on it
. The costumes and pantomime were designed and produced by the Rose Yard residents themselves.
